The Community Garden continues to reap in the awards.  For the second consecutive year, the Pennsylvania Horticulture Society awarded the GNPAL Community Garden “A Garden of Distinction” honors from more than 350 entries in their 2014 Gardens and Greening contest.  A new sign will be added to the one pictured below.  This marks the third honor the garden has received this year!

The Norristown Garden Club  awarded the garden 2nd place in the Best Norristown Public Place Garden category.  The judges praised the vegetable being grown, the garden management, the selection of flowers and their variety, as well as the garden’s maintenance.

Produce from the garden received several first, third and honorable mention ribbons in the Annual Norristown Flower Show in September.

Congratulations to GNPAL Program Director Ken Fennal and all the volunteers listed below who contributed to success that the Community Garden has enjoyed again this year.
