United Way
Dear Friends of Greater Norristown PAL,
Fall means many things to different people. The start of school, a new football season, baseball playoffs or raking all of those leaves are just a few ways that we mark the new season. In the world of non-profit organizations, it also marks the beginning of the annual United Way campaign.
The United Way serves area non-profit groups by coordinating fundraising campaigns that reach out directly to employees in thousands of area businesses. The funds are then allocated to member agencies through an application process.
If you are participating in your employer’s United Way campaign, you may want to take advantage of the Donor Choice program. Donor Choice allows you to designate your UW gift directly to the agency of your choice rather than into a general pool of funds.
Undesignated funds are sent to agencies all over Southeastern PA. Donor designated funds go right where you want them and directly impact the community that you care about. The program also allows you to have your gift deducted from your paychecks in small increments, thus lessening the impact on your personal budget.
I encourage all of you to participate in your company’s UW campaign and to designate your gift to Greater Norristown PAL. Our donor designation code is 12709. If you have any questions, please GNPAL at 610-278-8040 or info@greaternorristownpal.org.
Thank you for supporting GNPAL.
Sincerely,
Lee Holmes, Jr.
President, GNPAL Board of Directors
